Released just five years after the last greatest hits compilation Greatest Hits 1970-2002 seems a little pointless. O.K., so this is one disc instead of two. So you could argue this is for the "casual" fan, but the whole thing is a bit fishy. For example, I don't remember Tiny Dancer ever being a number one hit - on any significant chart. If that's the case, why is it here? Also, if Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds was a number one song (and featured here), why wasn't it on the earlier mentioned release???? Shouldn't a number one song be on a 2 disc greatest hits album? This compilation is also weighted a little too heavily on the earlier period of his career - only 2 songs on here are post 1976. Still, good songs though. I would just shell out a few extra bucks and get the 2 disc set instead.
