Well, what *do* you release when you haven’t put out a new album in over a decade? If you’re Pink Floyd, you go all-in and issue a massive box set. Oh, by the Way is exactly what it sounds like—a career-spanning collection of every studio album they ever released, from The Piper at the Gates of Dawn all the way through The Division Bell. They even toss in the live half of Ummagumma, just to round things out a bit.

Now, this isn’t something for the casual listener. Some might say it’s only for diehards, and even then I’d add a qualifier: only diehards with deep pockets. This was not a budget-friendly release. No rarities. No unreleased tracks. No alternate takes. Just the albums, in reproduction mini-vinyl sleeves, lovingly packed together in one hefty slab of nostalgia. In other words, if you already owned all of these albums (and most Floyd fans probably did), you were mostly paying for the packaging—and the satisfaction of having it all in one neat row on your shelf.
